About Us

The Pinny Gig Hotel has been created from my passion and love for guinea pigs and all things furry. From my very first guinea pigs Choco (chocolate Agouti), Millie (black & white Abyssinian) and Frisky (ginger Abyssinian); to my lastest ones Maverick (ginger & white American) and Rockstar (ginger Abyssinian). I adore everything about their squeaky, cheeky, lovable personalities. I aim to create a home from home experience for all your pets, with all the love and cuddles they deserve. 

All pets will be kept in a secure, locked wooden cabin; with constant access to fresh hay and water; with daily veggies and cuddles all included in the price. Each enclosure is a minimum of 1.5m long x 1m wide and 0.6m high; with the ability to extend them to 3m long enclosures for larger groups of pets. They will also have access to an indoor run during their stay to stretch out their little legs. 

Pets are regularly checked on throughout the day with video cameras viewable from our home so we can keep an eye on them. A smart thermometer enables us to monitor the daily cabin temperature and humidity from our phone to ensure it is comfortable for the piggies. Regular pet updates, pics and videos will be sent during their stay as we know you will want to know how they are doing and if they are having fun. 

I have worked within the animal industry for over 20 years and hold a specific Level 3 Guinea Pig Care Certificate. I also hold certificates within animal nutrition, animal health, veterinary pharmaceuticals and small animal hydrotherapy; a degree in Equine Science and Physiology and a post graduate diploma and Animal Physiotherapy. You can be assured your pet is in loving, safe and competent hands.
